PMAPS International Conferences fill a needed role in the power engineering community by providing a regular forum for engineers and scientists worldwide to interact around the common theme of power engineering decision problems under uncertainty. Looking back across all of the eleven conferences, one sees a rich history of excellence.
12th International Conference on Probabilistic Methods Applied to Power Systems, PMAPS 2012 will be held on 10-14 June 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey. It will be organized by Istanbul Technical University and will be cosponsored by IEEE-PES Turkey Chapter and The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.
Conference technical sessions will be organized in four categories; namely:

• Tutorials,
• Plenary Session,
• Invited paper Sessions and
• Regular paper sessions.

In addition, a variety of social and cultural events for the attendants and accompaniers will be offered in the conference program. They are all included in the full registration fee, except half day and full day tours for accompaniers and the post-conference tours.

• Welcome Reception for attendants and accompaniers.
• Welcome Concert for attendants and accompaniers. Examples from Folk Dances, Live Turkish Music and Classical/Traditional Music will be presented.
• Cruise tour along Bosphorus and dinner for attendants and accompaniers.
• Conference Dinner for attendants and accompaniers
• Alternative tours for attendants and accompaniers,
• Optional Half day and full day tours for accompaniers.
• Optional post-conference tours to famous historical districts of Turkey.
