Social events, tours and companion activities

A variety of social and cultural events for the attendants and accompaniers will be offered in the conference program. They are all included in the full registration fee except half day and full day tours for accompaniers and the post-conference tours.

Welcome Reception for attendants and accompaniers

Welcome Reception will be held in the foyer of conference center, on Sunday, 10 June 2012 at 5:00 p.m..

Welcome Concert for attendants and accompaniers

Examples from Folk Dances, Concurrent Turkish Music and Classical/Traditional Music will be presented on Monday, 11 June 2012 at 7:00 p.m..

Cruise tour along Bosphorus and dinner for attendants and accompaniers,

A cruise tour along Bosphorus will be scheduled on Tuesday, 12 June 2012 at 07:00-10:00 p.m. We will sail up the Bosphorus, the waterway between Europe and Asia, passing under the suspension bridges and viewing Ottoman summer palaces, waterside mansions and modern villas which line the European and Asian coasts. The panoramic view of Istanbul by the Bosphorus at night and dinner will both be memorable.

Conference Dinner for attendants and accompaniers

Conference dinner will be on Wednesday, 13 June 2012 at 07:00-10:00 p.m. We haven’t decided the exact location yet. We have several alternatives. You will taste the joy of the famous Turkish Cuisine. During dinner, spectacular oriental show will be performed by well known belly dancers, folk groups from various regions of Anatolia and Turkish singers.

Alternative Tours for attendants and accompaniers

Two alternative tours will be organized on Thursday, 14 June 2012 at 02:00-06:00 p.m.

Optional Half day and full day tours for accompaniers.
